How many times have you found yourselves thinking about just how great your life would be if you could achieve a certain perfect something? Be it the perfect partner, the perfect job, the ability to do either sports or draw or sing perfectly. The perfect group of friends or family. A perfect body. Even a perfect experience? Personally, I think I’ve spent a great deal of my life filling my head with longings of perfection, and frankly, I’m. Sick. Of. It. I’ll explain why.
One of the most common states of mind I’ve found myself in in my life is “I have to many things to do, but my mind won’t cooperate”. I’ve been stuck in this kind of frustrating limbo so many times, I’ve actually actively dedicated time, full hours of many days, to thinking and reading about it in itself a lot. So many questions have come to the surface… what exactly are things “I have to do”? Do I really need to do this? Do I avoid them ’cause I see them as something imposed on me? Why am I still avoiding things I want to do? Do I really want to do them? Can this be an issue of motivation? Of lack of time? Of poor organization skills? Of mental health? Many questions of the sort have crossed my mind… and with time, I’ve come to discover many answers. These are, for the most part, a mix of completely personal and experience-based discoveries, plus more official stuff I’ve read on various sources. However, for now I would like to discuss a bit about one of my most recent musings, for maybe some of you will find it helpful or at least, a bit interesting.
After thoughtful consideration I’ve decided I’ll wait ’till next week to publish my upcoming piece of writing.

I’ve spent a big part of my life wanting to do things.
Emphasize on wanting because everytime, for one reason or other I end up doing nothing, or even worse, starting stuff and then leaving it unfinished. Sad part is there’s aaaalways an excuse for it. “I don’t have the right tools to do that”, “I don’t have enough time”, “I’m just too tired to do it properly now”, “It looks too difficult”, “I’m scared” etc. etc. etc. Seems to me like hundreds of plans I’ve had in my mind through the years have turned into dust and moved to this very nasty place in my brain I might as well call The land of that which never came to pass.
Basically, I’ve been meaning to create a blog for ages and now I finally did it. Hurray me! It only took you a couple of years to take action.
More posts to follow.
